This was our second year to have "4th of July at Hovas". This year was bigger and better than last, and we hope it continues to grow. The crowed enjoyed hot dogs, BBQ, fried fish, rides and the water park. There was four soccer teams that drew a large crowed. Then the City office workers squared off with the Public Works department for a volleyball match. Mayor Vaughn not only cut watermelons for everyone; but he also had a hand in lighting the fireworks display. We would like to thank the Brookshire VFD and EMS for their support.
