At Loving Hands, care and love is our watchword. Rosie Powell, a mother of 7, owns and operates Loving Hands Assistance Living. Shortly after arriving in Brookshire in 1975, Rosie began her 25-year profession in home health care services, caring for everyone from children to the elderly whether they need medical or mental care. Through caring in-home for her own father, Rosie saw the need for a home-like atmosphere to care for those with special needs.
In 2006, with all her children “out of the nest,” Rosie began coverting her home into an assisted living facility. The 3,000 square foot residence has five bedrooms and accommodates eight beds along with four bathrooms, a living room and a recreation room. Our home is currently pending state licensing. We employ a small staff who are committed to providing residents with world-class service. Her philosophy is to spead the word through referrals. Rosie is actively involved with community and church functions. She is also a life member of the AME Church Missionary Society and a member of the United Women Association.
