"Why are you running?" This is the big question everyone is asking me. (Even my wife, Janet, asked me "why"!)
The answer is very simple. I am running as a candidate for Waller County Commissioner Precinct 4 in the November 2, 2010 General Election strictly because I want the voters of Precinct 4 in Waller County to have a choice when they vote for their next County Commissioner. I didn't run as a Republican or Democrat in the general party election and chose to run as an independent candidate after the primary party elections.
I consider myself as a conservative independent and would rather run as an independent instead of being tied to Democratic or Republican agendas. This is truly a non-partisan public servant position. As your County Commissioner, I will serve the entire community of Precinct 4 without a party bias. I will make sound decisions and contribute in ways that protect our community and serve its best interests.
I have until 5pm on May 13th, 2010 to collect at least one hundred signatures on a petition from people who live in and are registered voters of Waller County Precinct 4 and who did NOT vote in the general party primary or runoff elections in March. So if you have already signed my petition, I truly appreciate your patriotism and help with my goal. However, if you haven't signed my petition and want to give people a CHOICE on the ballot for County Commissioner, Precinct 4 come November 2, 2010. Please contact me before May 13th to arrange to sign my petition.
