The Westside Chef’s Throwdown highlights the culinary creativity of greater Houston's west side while raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The event takes place Saturday, November 13, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy. Incorporating elements of TV's “Iron Chef,” “Top Chef” and “Throwdown with Bobby Flay,” the event features local restaurants, high-profile chefs and celebrity judges.
Don’t miss the chance to showcase your restaurant by creating an appetizer, entrée or dessert using this year’s secret ingredient… pumpkin! Then, serve-up your sweet or savory samples to be judged by a panel of formidable “foodies,” local celebrities and event attendees. Be the first to take the “Best in the West” or the “People’s Choice” award (or maybe both) back to your kitchen.
The Westside Chef’s Throwdown is free and open to the public, with sampling wristbands available for purchase. The event also includes live entertainment (The Moe Hansum Band), cooking demonstrations and the Kid’s Food & Fun Zone. All proceeds from the event benefit MDA.
