My FotoFest 2014 Prints

These four images are my 2014 FotoFest prints that will be displayed in the lobby of the 1600 Smith Building (Mon. - Fri. 6am - 6pm) in downtown Houston, Texas from March 15 thru April 27. These prints are included in the exhibit of Photographic Art of The Professional Photographers Guild of Houston.

My images were chosen from prints submitted through association with the PPGH. An independent curator Anne Tucker with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Tx selected the images that will be displayed at the2014 FotoFest PPGH exhibit.

Buller Photography Featured in FOTOFEST KATY 2012

Come see the Katy area through the eyes of the area's best photographers! Katy Culture & Arts Alliance (KCAA) is hosting the first biennial of photography in Katy, Texas. These exhibitions are part of the Fourteenth International Biennial of Photography - FOTOFEST®  2012  with 120 exhibitions in the Houston area. FOTOFEST KATY 2012 will hold 11 area exhibitions running from Friday, March 23 through April 29th.

Twenty-five Katy-area photographers are featured including Sandy Buller, Janet Buller, Ken Osborne, Fatima Donaldson, Debi Beauregard, Paola Isola,Kelly Richards, Nell Bednarz, Deeya Maple, Sarah Hubbell, Dolores Parks, Marguerite Baldwin, Tom Haymes, Mark Linder, Sundaresh Ramanathan, Christopher Lee, Ronnie Conlin, Ray  Salazar, Craig Moseley, and Kevin Douglas West.

The exhibit venues include four locations at Villagio Town Center (22756 Westheimer Pkwy. at Peek)--V The Gallery, Babaloo International Cafe & Bar, Treehouse Mexican Baja Grill, and Simply Divine Interiors; Tradition Bank - Pin  Oak, Grand Pkwy, Fry Rd. locations; Hilton Garden Inn - Katy Mills; Salt & Pepper Restaurant; Kenzo Sushi  Bistro; and MKT Depot Museum & Visitors Center.

Join us for the opening featuring Sandy and Janet Buller's photography --  Friday, March 30 from 6 to 9 pm at V the Gallery. Janet Buller's photos are about capturing a moment of truth. She likes the element of surprise and exploring different perspectives, rhythms and balance in a lighthearted yet focused manner. Sandy describes his work as "capturing the mundane often overlooked objects and life scenes" and finding "a hidden gem within a split second of time that can be immortalized through photography."

Other openings include Thursday, April 12 at 6pm at Tradition Bank on Grand Parkway and Thursday, April 12 at 7pm at Kenzo Sushi Bistro. (One of Janet Buller's images is also on display at Tradition Bank on Grand Parkway.)

In 1986, FotoFest created the first international biennial of photography and photo-related Art in the United States. FotoFest is an international non-profit photographic arts and education organization based in Houston, Texas. Their purpose is to promote the exchange of art and ideas through international programs and the presentation of photographic art. Their programs work globally and locally, bringing together an international vision of art and cross-cultural exchange with a commitment to community involvement and the enrichment of Houston's cultural resources.

This video wins a CSA award from WEVA.

The WEVA (www.weva.com) Special Awards Committe informed Sweet Spirit Production that we had selected to receive the Community Service Award for 2009. This award recognizes WEVA members who have donated their time and skills to produce effective and inspiring video stories, such as "2009 Survivor's Cup American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Katy-West Houston" for non-profit organizations. THis video was recognized during the opening night festivities held on Monday, Sept. 14th at the 19th Annual WEVA Wedding & Event Expo 2009 at the Hilton Hotel and Resort in Orlando, FL. Thank you WEVA and the Special Awards Committee for noticing Sweet Spirit Productions' effort to help the American Cancer Society with our video story-telling art.

Sweet Spirit Production Wins Three HPVA Achievement Awards

Sweet Spirit Productions received last night at the Houston Professional Videographers Association's Awards Banquet, not one, not two, but three "2009 HPVA Achievement Awards" in these categories - Best School Event Video, Best Consumer Event Video, and Best Wedding Video. Actually there was a tie for the Best Wedding Video with McKnight Video Services.
