ACS Relay For Life - Katy, Texas 2011

This video was filmed in Katy, Texas during the evening hours of April 8th and the early morning hours the next day April 9th to document the America Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE event.

Thanks to everyone to helped volunteer and put this event on, and I wish that everyone enjoys reliving these special moments from the 2011 ACS Relay For Life in Katy, Texas.

2010 - Sweetheart Dinner & Dance

On February 13, 2010 the Pattison Area Heritage Society and the Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department hosted the 3rd annual Sweetheart Dinner and Dance.

The Pattison Area Heritage Society wishes to thank and appreciate the Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department for the shared results of this fundraiser event. Even though it was not a huge money making venture, the time and energy that both the PAHS and the PAVFD volunteers shared was a true act of selflessness, benefiting those who attended the Sweetheart Dinner and Dance. We thank those folks, too who came out and spent their evening with us and were treated to a special evening in Pattison.

We also want to give thanks for Galileo's Mexican Grill for serving such a delightful chicken and beef fajitas dinner. If you haven't been to Galileo's in Pattison, Texas yet, do yourself a favor and get over there right away. They serve some great tasty food, and their lunch specials are awesomely good and priced right, too.

And we don't want to forget the smooth country and western tunes provided by The Earl Sanders Jr. Band. Let me tell ya Hazel, they sure had some good sounds coming from them at the Dance. And their extended set of Merle Haggard songs had people yelling for more.

The WEVA (www.weva.com) Special Awards Committe informed Sweet Spirit Production that we had selected to receive the Community Service Award for 2009. This award recognizes WEVA members who have donated their time and skills to produce effective and inspiring video stories, such as "2009 Survivor's Cup American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Katy-West Houston" for non-profit organizations. THis video was recognized during the opening night festivities held on Monday, Sept. 14th at the 19th Annual WEVA Wedding & Event Expo 2009 at the Hilton Hotel and Resort in Orlando, FL. Thank you WEVA and the Special Awards Committee for noticing Sweet Spirit Productions' effort to help the American Cancer Society with our video story-telling art.
